Yesterday I had my monthly appt with my OB/GYN. Things are coming along fine. According to his calculations, I'm 16 weeks along. This time I asked what the baby's heart rate was and he said it was around 140. He then proceeded to smirk and say "What that means....is the baby is alive!" So clearly he thought I was asking in order to determine the gender. However, that was not my intent. Both my own mom and mother in law had the opposite of what was predicted for them to have by heartbeat. I have a date set for my ultrasound, June 11th. I'm pretty sure Ryan and I are going to be on Team Green again this time, however, I would be lying if I didn't say I'm more interested in finding out this time around. I guess time will tell. Waiting until the end of October/beginning of November isn't that long, right? Ahhh.
Ryan turned the ripe old age of 30 on Monday. I still can't believe it. He was 18 when we first got together...where did time go? As much as I like to razz him about his age....I know that the big 3-0 is just around the corner for me too. Scary thought. I always thought 30 was old....I take it back now! We enjoyed the lovely weather as it was Victoria Day and planted some stuff in our flower bed. We are celebrating his birthday with family on Saturday.
